| Ashley Tisdale's New Nose No Longer On Show
Pop singer Ashley Tisdale has issued a public apology for canceling two concerts over the weekend because she's yet to "fully recover" from a recent rhinoplasty. The High School Musical star debuted her new nose at a gig in New York on Friday night, just two weeks after going under the knife to fix her severely deviated septum. But she then pulled out of two subsequent shows - one in Miami, Florida, and one in Philadelphia - fueling fears for her health following the procedure. Now the 22-year-old has confirmed the reason for her no-shows - but reassured fans she's on the road to recovery. She writes on her website: "I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven't fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances.

Letters: Bush stimulus plan is voodoo economics
I think this rebate, like the one before it, is exactly that. I've been working for over 12 years as an AARP/IRS tax aide. We do taxes not only for older, retired people but also for younger people who are still in the work force. Many were very surprised when they learned upon filing their 2001 tax returns that whatever amount they received as a rebate in 2001 was deducted from their refund due in 2002. In my opinion, a better way to spur on the economy would be to encourage workers to make out a new W-4 form and make sure they aren't overwithholding. That way, they would have that extra money to spend with each paycheck. I've never understood why people want to let the government keep their money interest-free. If they need to save up for that big spring purchase, better to put that money in the bank.

Will Tisdale Survive Jennifer Grey Syndrome?
A nose job may have fixed her deviated septum, but it has rendered Ashley Tisdale (even more) unrecognizable. Who's that girl? Mira Sorvino?! Sarah Michelle Gellar?! Known mostly as the chick from "High School Musical" who isn't dating Zac Efron, Ash showed off her new beak on Wednesday, after canceling concerts last weekend due to her surgery. Tisdale may have recovered from rhinoplasty, but will her career?! Ashlee Simpson's never did!In the early '90s, "Dirty Dancing" star Jennifer Grey's face-altering nose job went so well -- she barely worked again! .
Ashley Tisdale's Nose Nipped
There's something about blond singer-actresses named Ashley and surgical procedures of the nasal variety. This time around, however, Ashley Tisdale is seeking to preempt tabloidal before-and-after schnoz shots, admitting that she underwent a rhinoplasty procedure in Los Angeles on Friday. But the 22-year-old High School Musical star is adamant the procedure was not done for cosmetic purposes. "Growing up, I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing," she told People. "The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose." Still in bandages from the five-hour procedure, Tisdale took care to assure fans she hadn't gone under the knife for a more photogenic profile and should not be looked to as an advocate of the plasticizing of Hollywood.
