Pop singer Ashley Tisdale has issued a public apology for canceling two concerts over the weekend because she's yet to "fully recover" from a recent rhinoplasty. The High School Musical star debuted her new nose at a gig in New York on Friday night, just two weeks after going under the knife to fix her severely deviated septum. But she then pulled out of two subsequent shows - one in Miami, Florida, and one in Philadelphia - fueling fears for her health following the procedure. Now the 22-year-old has confirmed the reason for her no-shows - but reassured fans she's on the road to recovery. She writes on her website: "I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven't fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances.

All of this is pretty convenient considering Page Six ran an article today about Sam's three restraining orders out against him. One of them is from his former best friend Danny Haines who claims Sam was “more jealous than a lover": When Haines eventually cut him off, Lufti humiliated him, e-mailing naked photos of him to his family, friends and co-workers. He texted and called incessantly and, according to court documents, told Haines he hoped his sister would be "raped to death." Haines says that in one e-mail to him, Lufti wrote of Haines' mother that he hoped "Satan devours her flesh and bones" and he looked forward to the day when he would "p - - - on her burial." Then again I, too, equate enormously supportive with grave pissing. In fact, I don't really see how you can have one without the other.

A teacher and two students from Kealakehe High School on the Big Island enjoyed the opportunity of a lifetime in November when they had sit-down discussions with three U.S. Supreme Court justices. The expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., came courtesy of the Annenberg Foundation, which funds the Sunnylands Supreme Court Institute. Two students from each state were invited to the institute, along with a teacher. Kealakehe seniors Malia Caldwell and Malia Fyffe and history teacher David Huitt met with Justices Anthony Kennedy, Stephen Breyer and Antonin Scalia and discussed constitutional issues, including due process for noncitizens and individual rights in times of war. Kealakehe is noted for its "Citizenship First" initiative, a schoolwide effort that gives students daily lessons in civics, ethical decision-making and service learning.

Subtract from that $7,000 in taxes, including social security: $6,000 for my familys health insurance, and $3,000 for my half of my retirement, and the total dwindles quickly as it does for anyone that is trying to support a family.
