Westside Medical Spa Launches 'Face the Day' to Aid Battered Women
LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Westside Medical Spa today announced the launch of "Face the Day" a program aimed at renewing the confidence of women preparing to embark on a new chapter in their lives. Structured for women who have been victims of physical abuse, "Face the Day" has partnered with Jenesse Center Inc., in support of October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. "Face the Day" developed by Dr. Rivkin of Westside Medical Spa, will directly benefit one woman from the Jenesse Center Foundation each week via a complimentary procedure. Services offered will range from Fraxel laser skin resurfacing (to diminish the appearance of scars) to Non Surgical Rhinoplasty (to camouflage the bump of a broken nose). Dr. Rivkin feels that the "Face the Day" program will "provide an opportunity for these women to move forward with confidence," stating "I think removing these scars is a liberating experience for women who wake up every morning to a painful reminder in the mirror, or leave their homes wondering who recognizes the marks of abuse.

Mayor needs to stick to facts not offer spin
Where were you during the administrations/frustrations of Tony, Butch and Hank? Everyone wants to forget Hank. Maybe the Mayor honestly thought you were from Alabama. I went there for a promotion and returned from there at retirement. It is a beautiful state. Whatever happened to character? Did it escape when pants were pulled down below butts or did it go up in smoke from the meth puffed? I wish we could buy some and give it away. Lord knows, a lot of us need it. .
Ashley Tisdale's New And Improved Nose
The "High School Musical" actress underwent nose surgery last month. Performing at a holiday concert in N.Y.C. on Friday night, ASHLEY TISDALE stepped back into the spotlight for the first time since receiving elective nose surgery on Nov. 30, People reports. The "High School Musical" star, 22, tells the mag that she underwent rhinoplasty to alleviate breathing difficulties brought on by her twice-fractured nose -- damaged once in a car accident and again by getting hit in the face while dancing. "I don't believe in plastic surgery," Ashley tells People. "I really think natural is more beautiful. This was not about changing me. I am comfortable with myself." The "Musical" star's breathing woes were once so dire, Ashley tells the mag, that she required an oxygen tank to catch her breath after performing a solo set on a tour of South America last spring.
