Fergie Denies Plastic Surgery Claims, Criticizes Magazine

Fergie has slammed an American magazine for suggesting she has undergone cosmetic surgery on her nose and eyebrows. Two pictures of The Black Eyes Peas star - one from the 1980s, and one from 2007 - are printed side-by-side in the current issue of Us Weekly, and a surgeon tells the publication it's likely Fergie has had a rhinoplasty procedure.

But the 32-year-old has denied the claims, and admits such speculation upsets her so much she has seen a therapist.

Fergie says, "One of those (celebrity) magazines says I've had a nose job and an eyebrow lift, which is completely untrue. Personally, I see a therapist. It's hard, it hurts my feelings. I call my hypnotherapist and cry and let it go. That's what I do (to cope). I think that they nitpick these days so much and it's just got to the point where it's ridiculous."

And Fergie isn't the only celebrity angry with this week's issue of Us Weekly - actress Scarlett Johansson is threatening the magazine with legal action over claims she had undergone plastic surgery on her nose.

Sir Anthony Hopkins slates 'plastic stars'

IT'S become almost a badge of honour for Hollywood stars of a certain age.

Some may hide it better than others, but an ever increasing number of celebrities are going under the knife in an attempt to hold back the march of time.

But the momentum of the anti-plastic surgery campaign has been boosted after Sir Anthony Hopkins joined its ranks. The veteran Welsh actor has criticised vanity-obsessed actors who undergo plastic surgery, insisting the face-distorting procedures make them look "ridiculous".

Sir Anthony is one of the stars rebelling against the trend for cosmetic surgery, as used by people like Mickey Rourke and Joan Rivers, in favour of growing old more naturally. He is due to celebrate his 70th birthday with old school friends in his native Port Talbot this month, says he will never go under the knife.

Ashley Tisdale's New And Improved Nose

The "High School Musical" actress underwent nose surgery last month.

Performing at a holiday concert in N.Y.C. on Friday night, ASHLEY TISDALE stepped back into the spotlight for the first time since receiving elective nose surgery on Nov. 30, People reports.

The "High School Musical" star, 22, tells the mag that she underwent rhinoplasty to alleviate breathing difficulties brought on by her twice-fractured nose -- damaged once in a car accident and again by getting hit in the face while dancing.

"I don't believe in plastic surgery," Ashley tells People. "I really think natural is more beautiful. This was not about changing me. I am comfortable with myself."

The "Musical" star's breathing woes were once so dire, Ashley tells the mag, that she required an oxygen tank to catch her breath after performing a solo set on a tour of South America last spring.

Surgeon at loss after West's death

Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West's mother before she died, said his practice has been hard hit by bad publicity following her death.

The Middletown native, who briefly appeared on CNN's "Larry King Live" Tuesday, said that fallout from Donda West's death had affected his practice "horribly ... it's almost destroyed."

Adams hosted the series "Plastic Surgery: Before and After" and has also appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "Entertainment Tonight." He sells a line of skin care products and has written two books on plastic surgery.

Tummy tucks, nose jobs jump

Nancy Fox, who considered plastic surgery in her 50s but declined, had eyelid surgery and liposuction on her neck at age 73.

Michelle Anderson, a 35-year-old mother of two, had a tummy tuck because "I wanted to look like I did before I had kids."

Greg Nehls, who grew tired of his droopy eyes and double chin, had work done on both.

"Men don't want to look old either," said Nehls, 52, a dairy farmer.
