NEW YORK, Jan. 26 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On January 23rd, Public Citizen, a consumer group, filed a petition with the U.S. Food and Drug and Administration (FDA) requesting labeling changes for botulinum toxins marketed in the United States. Decades of use and recorded studies in peer-reviewed journals have documented the safety of BOTOX(R). The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the leading organization of board-certified plastic surgeons who specialize in cosmetic surgery of the face and body, emphasizes that Botox has been approved by the FDA as a Biologic Drug and, as with any medical treatment, patients should be fully informed as to the approved and off-label uses of the drug, as well as the benefits and risks of the procedure. Since its FDA-approval for multiple neurological uses in 1989, Botox has been used millions of times.

Tableaux an instant hit with spectators
PRIDE OF INDIA: An Army contingent marches through the Rajpath during the Republic Day parade in New Delhi on Saturday. NEW DELHI: "If there is paradise on earth, it's here, it's here, it's here," said the seasoned State commentator Jasdev Singh as the Jammu and Kashmir tableau coasted past a cheering crowd on Rajpath here on Republic Day. Fabricated on the lines of the famous Tulip Garden in the Kashmir Valley, the tableau proved an instant hit with the spectators. The preceding military bands and caparisoned camels and elephants already set a high standard of showmanship. Among the dignitaries who watched the event was French President Nicolas Sarkozy. Taken out as part of the R-Day parade, most of the tableaux lived up to expectations with groups of dancers leading from the front.
Surveyor says savings in gas, car use benefit public
CROWN POINT |The Lake County surveyor said he is reducing his spending and making amends for lapses in judgment that have made him the target of public outrage in recent weeks.Surveyor George Van Til said Wednesday he repaid the county for use of county gasoline and a pickup truck, forfeited mileage reimbursements he won't claim and has given up a take-home vehicle he once enjoyed at taxpayer's expense. He said he also is planning to reduce his office's fleet by three vehicles for a total savings he calculates to be $11,925.Van Til also has drawn up a proposed county ordinance that would more closely regulate county vehicle and gasoline use."When an official creates a problem, they should try to make it right. This is about trying to make things right. I'm taking lemons and making lemonade," Van Til said.Van Til came under attack in November for lending a new county-owned pickup truck to his son to drive to high school. He gave up his lease car to calm public opinion, but was back in the public eye in December when one of his employees was caught on a security video pumping gasoline from a county pump into Van Til's personal sport utility vehicle.Van Til said lending the truck to his son was a mistake.
6 Tips for Turning Shoppers Into Buyers
These basic strategies can help you close more sales. 1. Stress your unique selling proposition. Figure out what makes you different from the competition and deliver that message loud and clear. For example, one wedding/event facility touted the credentials of a new head chef they had hired from the best restaurant in town, pushing its conversion rate from 60 to 73 percent. 2. Identify bottlenecks in your sales process. Analyze the steps required to get customers to buy from you and determine your weak spots. Let's say you're in the deck building business. To make a sale, you need to schedule an appointment, show photos of your work, take measurements, propose a design, price the job, provide references and so on. Do you need new photos for your portfolio? Does your proposal package need sprucing up? Are you failing to make follow-up phone calls? Fix the flaws, and sales will follow.

Those rumors of West when he was in the state legislature didn't occur due to his steadfast adherence to a straight lifestyle. The rumors shouldn't have convicted him either, but I felt it irresponsible to offer no other angle than the devoted ex-wife to establish the timeline of West's dalliances. .
Michigan’s Government Showdown — or Shutdown?
Michigan's colleges and universities, already down millions in deferred state payments, are facing an incredibly uncertain fiscal climate. As legislators in Lansing bicker over a $1.75 billion statewide deficit, the threat of a government shutdown starting on Monday looms. .
Ashley Tisdale's Nose Nipped
There's something about blond singer-actresses named Ashley and surgical procedures of the nasal variety. This time around, however, Ashley Tisdale is seeking to preempt tabloidal before-and-after schnoz shots, admitting that she underwent a rhinoplasty procedure in Los Angeles on Friday. But the 22-year-old High School Musical star is adamant the procedure was not done for cosmetic purposes. "Growing up, I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing," she told People. "The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose." Still in bandages from the five-hour procedure, Tisdale took care to assure fans she hadn't gone under the knife for a more photogenic profile and should not be looked to as an advocate of the plasticizing of Hollywood.
