OK! claims they will uncover who comes out on top in this battle of the blondes. That seems like a fairly easy challenge. Carrie is very successful and continues to grab awards and accolades from the music industry in Nashville, Jessica has struggled with her career since her divorce from Nick Lachey.
Even this romance with Tony has been a disaster. It appears that Jessica is using Tony for publicity (with the game day footage of her in the luxury box and the leaked photos from the Mexican vacation). And now she is public enemy number one is Dallas. If there really is a war between Jessica and Carrie, it seems like a mismatch.

The store was running a promotion to give away $10 to anyone applying for its credit card, but the computer glitch led to everyone's application being approved, giving up to $4,000 in instant credit to anyone who applied, even if they shouldn't have qualified. .

Hardware High-Def Sales Tip Towards Blu-ray Disc Following Warner ...
Warner's announcement at CES 2008 regarding its high-definition allegiance appears to have an immediate effect on the buying tendencies of the consumer market. Throughout 2007, Blu-ray Disc sales have consistently outsold HD DVD by a factor of around double; but starting the week coinciding with CES 2008 up to January 13, those numbers shifted noticeably further in Blu-ray Disc's favor. According to numbers from Nielsen, reported by Home Media Magazine, Blu-ray Disc sales were 85 percent of the high-definition split. The 85/15 split between the two rival formats represented the largest gulf yet, according historical data charted in the High-Def Digest forums. Of the top ten best-selling high-definition movies for the week, all were Blu-ray Disc. For the major new releases on each format, 3:10 To Yuma on Blu-ray Disc and The Kingdom on HD DVD, the former outsold the later by ten-fold.

Over on the Giants' side, Felipe Alou famously avoided the clubhouse altogether, preferring to communicate with players through coaches. Leyland is just a hoot in the Tigers' clubhouse. He spends a few minutes making the rounds each day, trying to connect with each individual player in a meaningful way. Speaking in what one Detroit writer called a "nicotine baritone," he'll needle a guy if he knows he can take it. He'll be more rah-rah with the sensitive types. But it's all in full view of the other players, and Leyland is just as active on team flights or buses. He works the room, brilliantly, and the players love him for it. As the Tigers celebrated their ALDS victory over the Yankees, Leyland had a couple of teary spells. He's a bit like Dick Vermeil that way, at times overwhelmed by the beauty of the game, its personalities, a team's arrival at full potential.
