Ashley Tisdale's New Nose No Longer On Show

Pop singer Ashley Tisdale has issued a public apology for canceling two concerts over the weekend because she's yet to "fully recover" from a recent rhinoplasty.

The High School Musical star debuted her new nose at a gig in New York on Friday night, just two weeks after going under the knife to fix her severely deviated septum. But she then pulled out of two subsequent shows - one in Miami, Florida, and one in Philadelphia - fueling fears for her health following the procedure.

Now the 22-year-old has confirmed the reason for her no-shows - but reassured fans she's on the road to recovery.

She writes on her website: "I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be at the holiday shows this weekend. I haven't fully recovered from my surgery and had to make the difficult decision to cancel the appearances.

Warm weather aids healing process

This sort of work would especially be good for young Guamanians, who are in tune with helping the elderly, as a part of their culture.

More opportunities We have other opportunities along that same line. Take LeoPalace as a resort center. It would be ideal for the elderly Japanese I have in mind. They could golf, play baseball, bowl, play tennis, or take buses to the beaches. Guam has plenty of first class hotels, too.

They held a conference recently with Pete Sgro, president of the Guam Healthcare and Hospital Development Foundation. One of the ideas was to get Guam Memorial Hospital accredited. The other concept was to develop a completely new hospital and upgrade it to a first class facility.

It would make sense given the Japanese statistical problem of being an elderly nation to tie in Japan with putting in a medical facility, one that was geared towards the older people, dove-tailing the two needs, a first class hospital, and at the same time, providing, a truly fine vacation spot for the retirees.

YOUR MONEY: Anything is insurable if the price is right

With an increasingly precautionary and litigious society, insurance can be found for just about every activity people perform in their waking hours.Anyone with enough cash could probably insure even their sleep, as well.Insurance policies, even if not through traditional brokers, can be had for everything from vacations to rock concerts and even alien abductions. The London-based insurance brokerage firm Goodfellow Rebecca Ingrams Pearson manages some 20,000 such policies, reported Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine, with some 4,500 "John Wayne Bobbitt" male mutilation policies and 4,000 immaculate conception policies also active.London and other overseas sites are where people will find the strangest policies. Lloyd's of London, famous for covering Jimmy Durante's nose, Bette Davis' waistline and Michael Flatley's legs, will insure most anything as long as the customer is willing to pay the premium (a Lloyd's representative did not return an e-mail inquiring how much it would cost a reporter to insure his typing hands).Companies will first max out life and disability insurance on stars, according to the Web magazine Slate.

Nasal Valve Collapse

Nasal obstruction is one of the medical conditions that warrants rhinoplasty. Nasal obstruction can have many causes, which will fall into either the anatomic or non-anatomic categories. One such anatomic cause of nasal obstruction is nasal valve collapse, although this condition can also be caused by a rhinoplasty procedure that was not executed with care.

The nasal valve is the thinnest part of the nasal airway where air passes through. If you place both fingers on either side of your nose, you can feel the nasal valve area right where the nostrils crease inwards. Nasal valve collapse occurs when the nasal airway's narrowest part becomes weakened and interferes with the normal flow of air. Reconstructive rhinoplasty surgeons who are experienced in correcting nasal valve collapse use a variety of surgical techniques to restore the nasal valve and functional nasal breathing.

Wild Card/Vacation Day 11 of 12

Only two more shopping days until I return to the final days of the City Council campaigns. Then, we'll have fun taking apart the campaigns. Any dirt yet? Any mudslinging. You know, the good stuff. Or is everyone behaving? My wife is now looking over my shoulder -- literally -- so I have to pretend that I'm just checking ball scores. See ya in two days. Here's Wild Card ...

Thought you'd like this one. At church a few weeks back, a couple renewed their wedding vows to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The preacher asked them where they were married. The groom replied "Saint So-and-sos. And a short time after our wedding the church burned down and the priest died." Without missing a beat my preacher said "Would you mind if we did this outside?"

I had the luck of being at the Packer game last Sunday. What a game and what a day! After spotting the Seahawks 14-points, the Packers looked like an absolutely unstoppable team. And when that snow fell down, it was like being inside a snow globe, you couldn't see the people who were sitting in the stands on the other side of the stadium. But it wasn't cold! In fact, I kept my gloves off for most of the game.
